A week of happiness #16

A week of happiness, Journey true north

It’s a holiday Monday in Australia, which is worthy of thanks in itself.*

Thanks also to a burst of garden sunshine, followed by a burst of cool, cool beach rain:

And to a whole lot of colourful, creative adventures that helped fill up our summertime days:

To holidaying Australians, and those the world over, I hope you’ve also enjoyed a happy week.

Thanks to A New Life Wandering for this delightful idea.

*And a slightly late weekly post while we enjoyed a technology-free break.

  1. Technology-free! That’s great! We had one of those weekends a few months ago when our internet crashed while we were away. It would have been more meaningful if we had planned it and some of us hadn’t spent the first day grumbling sbout it. 🙂

    1. It’s surprisingly satisfying, isn’t it?! after unintentionally leaving my phone at home recently I had a real sense of being free from the need to use it. I read more, noticed more of the world and enjoyed a restful break. Lesson learned. For me, technology is a valuable tool, but sometimes one worth leaving well behind…

    1. Thanks Lia. Your blizzard is hard to imagine in the mild temperatures over here – would love to know how you survive. As for the strawberries – they are great! Summer fruit at its best.

      1. Yes it is tough at times but my dreams of summertime keep me warm! It’s funny how once winter ends and spring begins, I tend to forget what winter was like!
Ahhhh strawberries, peaches and watermelon are my summer fruit favorites!
        All my very best!

  2. Nice little pleasures and also nice that you went off technology 🙂 Just for the record, maybe you are aware but your always link back to the same post, my weekly small pleasures #19: (http://anewlifewandering.com/2014/10/12/this-weeks-small-pleasures-19/) if you go to the comments you’ll see all your pingbacks. It’s just a suggestion, but it might be better if you link back to my latest post every time, that way they’ll be a better chance for more people to see it 🙂 Have a wonderful week!
